Marko received his Bachelor of Science degree from University in Ljubljana and his Masters in Architectural degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, U.S.A. in 1991. Over the past 17 years, while living in Singapore, he has developed a special, in-depth experience in Asia, where he has successfully designed and completed many hospitality and high-end residential projects.
With over 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Dilip comes with a wealth of experience in operating hotels, in depth local knowledge and the right credentials to take the lead to drive and support Starwood's aggressive expansion plans in the region. Dilip has worked with major Indian hospitality brands like Taj and Oberoi as well as with Intercontinental Hotels Group and Sarova Hotels internationally. He brings with him a global perspective that has been honed through operational and development roles in India, South Pacific, Australia and Africa across luxury and upscale hotel categories. Prior to assuming his new role with Starwood, Dilip was the Chief Executive Officer of Duet India Hotels.
Andrew has designed interiors for the world's leading hotel operators, holding senior positions at well-renowned hospitality specialists.After studying Interior Design in London, Andrew became Senior Designer and then Managing Director of regional Interiors group GTD in Hong Kong.He went on to became Senior Project Designer with globally-renowned hospitality specialists Hirsch Bedner Associates in Singapore, designing luxury projects in Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia and Thailand. On his return to the UK he worked at Richmond International—a part of the Areen Group—and in 2008 he established Areen Hotel Design, now known as Areen Hospitality. As Head of Hospitality Design, Andrew is involved in all aspects of a project, from conception through to on-site installation.
Mr. Bakaya has been overseeing the operations and development of the 60 hotel group for over 15 years. A 1980 graduate of The Oberoi School and a 1983 postgraduate alumnus of Cornell-Essec, France, Ajay has over 33 years of international hotel experience including assignments in Africa, Australia, France, India and the UK. His notable projects include a hotel GM with Oberoi Hotels and the Robertsfield Hotel, Liberia. He was Director, Rooms at Australia’s largest hotel, the 650 room Four Points by Sheraton, Sydney. Along with this, Ajay is a keen mountaineer and the highest fundraiser for the Delhi half marathon for several years. He has also been awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Federation of Hotels & Restaurants Association of India.
Barry is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the Building Services Industry. His innovative designs have won a National Engineering Excellence Award for a mixed use development in Queensland, containing a large auditorium. He has lectured on smoke control systems, commissioning, and legionnaires disease/sick building syndrome, as well as assisting in the compilation of the AIRAH Tropical Air Conditioning design manual. He has recently received a patent for a hotel guest room A.C. system which saves 30% energy on a conventional system, and requires no in room maintenance. He compiled a technical design manual and sustainable design guide for all InterContinental Hotel Group brands. Barry was recently involved with Masdar—the world's first zero carbon emission city being constructed in Abu Dhabi
His strong design concepts aim at giving justice to the site and the client brief. A graduate from M.S. University, Baroda with a Gold Medal in design, he has won many design competitions held by Lalit Kala Academy, NASA, MSSIDC and many other private competitions. His portfolio of the last three decades includes versatile and off-the-beaten-track projects along with a number of International projects. From the architecture of Grand Hyatt, Goa to interiors of Le Meridien, Mumbai; the number, expanse and class of projects handled by him is colossal. Recognizing his contribution to the profession, he was felicitated by Society Interiors Magazine with the Durian Society Interiors Design Award in 2003 and then by Economic Times at ACE TECH 2009.

He has been an Executive Member of several associations, including PATA India Chapter, American Society of Travel Agents of India, and Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India. He received the 'Hall of Fame' award by PATWA at ITB Berlin in 2001, the "Global Award" at WTM London in 2006, the 'Galileo - Express Travel & Tourism Award' and the 'Today Traveller's Leadership Award'. Kachru has also been awarded the 'Carlson Fellow Special Achievement Award' by Carlson Companies Inc.
Mr. Jain is a Chartered Accountant and has over three decades of experience in the Hospitality industry. He has help senior-most positions in investment, treasury and corporate finance functions with groups such as the Oberoi Hotels and the Leela Hotels. Currently, he is the President of the Duet India Hotels – a company which is developing First Class International Hotels in various business locations across India. Additionally, Mr. Jain has also been the Chairman of The CFO World – a Forum created for Senior Finance Professionals in the Industry for the last six years.
A graduate from the Oberoi School of Hotel Management, Mr. Tyagi began his career with the Oberoi Group of Hotels and continued for a tenure of fifteen years. He moved on to working with prestigious names in the hospitality industry such as the Holiday Inn, Radisson Hotels Worldwide and the Unitech Group. In 2004 he set up his own management company styled as Siya Management Consultants while he continued as an advisor to the Unitech group in hospitality and amusement businesses till the end of 2007 and currently continues as a Director on the board of 3 of Unitech’s subsidiary companies, while advising various groups in their hospitality forays in India and abroad. Moving forward in 2007, he also set up Jupiter Venture Lands—a company that specializes in investing and clearances of land parcels in Hyderabad. Over the last 2 years, it has invested in over 100 acres of land parcels around Hyderabad for real estate development.
Having worked with the Oberoi hotels group for over two decades, Mr Mittal has to his credit, designed over a hundred hotels, restaurants and flight catering projects. He is the only Indian Consultant to have designed the Rastrapathi Bhawan facilities as a Hotel Design Consultant. His ongoing projects are spanned across India, U.A.E., Qatar, Mauritius, Oman and has recently completed hospitality projects in South Africa, Egypt, Indonesia, Mauritius, Oman, Thailand, and Bhutan. He is a certified Professional Member of the Food Consultants Society International, USA and teaches Hospitality Design at his alma mater the Oberoi School of Hotel Management, the Institute of Hotel Management Pusa New Delhi and at the Taj Group of Hotels: Centre of Excellence.
Suresh Mathur is a management professional with over 35 years experience in the hospitality industry in India and the United States covering in the economy, mid-price, luxury, conventions and resort markets. His experience covers all aspects of development and operation of hotels, restaurants, lounges and convention centers, including project development; management, marketing, human resources, training, public relations, accounting and financial management, and, corporate affairs. He is a specialist in developing and opening new properties; re-positioning and turn-around of underperforming hotels; and, designing and implementing operating systems, facilities planning, etc. and brings with him proven track record and experience in developing, managing and marketing all major brands with particular focus with Hilton, Marriott, Intercontinental and Starwood brands.
Mandeep graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management & Catering, New Delhi in 1982 and has since spent over 25 years in the Hospitality Industry. He is also a Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA) from the American Hotel Association. After successful stints with International Hotel Brands such as Choice Hotels, Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) and Radisson, in 2001, he became the President of ITC Fortune Park Hotels. Post this, Mandeep set up a joint venture to own hotels in the Indian upscale sector with the Dawnay Day Group UK, Private Equity Firm Duet International UK and subsequently with Amari Hotels & Resorts, the leading hospitality player in Thailand. He is respected for his insight into the Indian Hospitality Industry, having won several awards and recognitions for his accomplishments.
Spanning over 10 years, Mr. Shah’s association with the Hyatt Hotels has seen the progress and expansion of the company across India. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Shah began his career with the group as an Accounts Executive in 2002. Soon he took over as the Operations Analyst based in the corporate office in Mumbai. Owing to his skills and expertise, he moved into the development team in 2007 and has led many path-breaking projects till date. In 2008, Mr. Shah was appointed into his current role as Director of Development, Hyatt Hotels
A Graduate from Delhi University and a Post Graduate in Design & Business Management, Madhu is passionate about design management and functionality. From 1983 to 2009, she worked for 27 years with Bharat Hotels Ltd, and was involved in the complete Interior Design Development of several prominent luxury hotels across India including Intercontinental Hotels all over India. She has also been involved with various International luxury hospitality brands such as Intercontinental, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza, and now the even Lalit Group of Hotels. In her current role with Hilton, Madhu is responsible for all Interior Design functions along with FF&E & HOE across all brands.
A Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mr. Punjabi leads the multi-brand, multiple partners and high-growth development strategy of the Hilton Worldwide in India. Prior to joining the company in 2006, he was Vice President with Ambit Corporate Finance Pvt. Ltd, a leading Indian investment bank. In his eight years with the company he was responsible for initiating, negotiating and managing some key merger and acquisition transactions. He was also involved in the company’s hospitality practice. Before Ambit, Mr. Punjabi worked in the Business Advisory Division of Arthur Andersen, where he was responsible for advising and leading multinational companies on investment structuring, foreign investment and taxation. Mr. Punjabi has actively participated in representing the industry at various forums including Global Real Estate Institute (GRI) and The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Rajiv has extensive experience of managing wide range hospitality projects. He has completed the new construction of over 50 projects around the world. A licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (USA), Rajiv has a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from a Regional Engineering College in India. Rajiv, a native of India, is a Canadian citizen now.

Anil Sharma graduated from IIT Roorkee in the year 1982 and started his career with Bharadwaj & Associates in the year 1982 and worked with them till 1984. He worked with them on various prestigious projects namely USIS Calcutta, US Chancery Burma, US Consulate & Consular Residence in Lahore. In addition he also worked in the US office of Kabil Associates for 6 months. In the year 1989 he started his own practice of Architecture by the name of ASA (Anil Sharma Associates). His first project in Pune was later on branded as Holiday Inn Pune. It was also awarded "The Best New Hotel of the Year in Asia Pacific Region" by Holiday Inn worldwide. Since then ASA has been involved in various reputed Hotel projects all over India and has designed two projects in Kazakhstan.

He represents TFCI on the board of some of the assisted hotel companies and is also an investment committee member of the India Enterprise Development Fund (IEDF) of IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited.

SohrabDalal graduated from CEPT, Ahmadabad with honours in 1984. During this period he also worked with Meldrum Burons and Partners in Sydney for a year, and after graduation with the famous Architect/ Sculptor SatishGujral, also for a year. In 1985 he founded the firm Atelier 2001, along with KhushrooKalyanwala and SonaliBhagwati, which was converted to Spazzio design in 1993. In 2010 Spazzio was merged with Designplus (the firm founded by SatishGujral) and he took over as Managing Director of the merged entity. In 2009 he, along with Wong Chiuman of WOW designs received the award for the "Building of the Year" from the Singapore Institute of Architects for the Taj Vivanta project in Bangalore.

From 2004 to 2011, he acted as the Head of Development for Accor Hotels and led their development to over 60 hotels, over 12,500 rooms and 4 convention centres. Currently, this leading hospitality and tourism industry expert with more than 28 years of development, planning and management experience—heads InterGlobe Hotels—a joint venture between InterGlobe Enterprises and Accor for the development of Ibis brand hotels in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
After graduating from Institute of Hotel Management, Bhopal in 1994, he joined the renowned Ambassador Group of hotels as a Trainee Management Chef and gradually he was became the head of the Sky Chef division as Master Chef. Later on he moved to Suman Motels into Corporate Planning and was instrumental in the opening of resorts and motels. After a successful tenure in hotels, Rajatjoined a consulting firm specialising in food service design. He promoted HPG consulting in 1999, and today it's a well-known Consulting Company specialising in food service design, laundry design and facility planning for hospitality projects. HPG Consulting has already associated with projects for international brands like Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Accor, Starwood, Langham Hotels, Dusit International, Millennium Group, Taj Hotels, besides the local hotel groups in India.
Ajay Mehtani is a post graduate in Hospitality & Marketing with over two decades of experience in Hospitality and Business Process Outsourcing space. He has worked with InterContinental Hotels Group and Quatrro Global Services before joining Duet India Hotels. Currently, Ajay is the Chief of Asset Management looking after the entire operating portfolio of the company. Duet India Hotels is an owner and developer of internationally branded midscale business hotels in India. The company has a joint venture with InterContinental Hotels Group for developing Holiday Inn Express hotels, the first Express hotel opened at Ahmedabad in November 2012. Duet India Hotels has plans to develop over 4000 hotel rooms in India over the next 3-5 years.
With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Archana Gupta has played a pivotal role in the everyday running of hotel operations and projects simultaneously. She started her career with the Hyatt group of hotels right after graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management & Applied Nutrition in Lucknow. She has helped with the opening of over five 5 international chain hotels, which include renowned hospitality players like Carlson, IHG and Starwood Group of Hotels. Her last assignment with Hyatt Regency New Delhi lasted for 9 years. In the year 2012, Ms. Gupta received 2 awards: One from Golden Star for being the ‘Most Admired Housekeeper of The Year’ and second from Hotelier India for being the ‘Best Housekeeper of the Year 2012’.
Romesh Koul holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa. He started his career as a Management Trainee with Jaypee Group until 1984, and then joined the Hotel Corporation of India in Srinagar. In 1986, he joined Hotel Banjara, Hyderabad as an Assistant Front Office Manager. After 6 years of operational experience with various hotels, Romesh joined Indotels Hotels Management Services Private Limited, a specialised consultancy organisation. Subsequently, he joined the Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI) in 1990 and was responsible for appraising more than 200 hotel projects. Romesh left TFCI in 1996 to set up his own company Naaz Hotel Consultants Pvt. Ltd. to provide specialised tourism related consultancy and need based services to new entrants in the hospitality industry. Today, Naaz advises various operational, project and financial matters to individual hotel promoters / groups.
Mr. Babul Ganguly has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of project development and management with companies like GE Capital, Genpact and the Taj Hotels, Palaces and Resorts. During his tenure in GE, he was the Global Projects Leader responsible for setting up facilities in excess of 5 million square feet across continents. While in Taj he was responsible for setting up the Greenfield and major Renovation Projects with structural changes. Duet India Hotels is currently developing First Class International Hotels in various business locations in India. He has been instrumental in launching Duet’s properties in Pune under the Starwood Brand, Four Points by Sheraton and the first-ever Holiday Inn Express in India, Ahmedabad in a Joint Venture Partnership with IHG.
An Architect from Sydney, Australia, Ms. Yeats has been working in the Hospitality industry for over 15 years. She has extensive experience in the disciplines of design, documentation and delivery, with specific relation to the interior spaces of numerous newly built and refurbishment Hotel projects in Australia, the Middle East and India. Her experience as an Architect includes working for Owners, Developers and Operators. In the past 7 years, she has been exclusively delivering 4 and 5 star hotels—including Synergy Property Development Services, a PMC company whose Head Office is in Bangalore. Currently, Ms. Yeats is Head of Synergy’s Hospitality division which is responsible for the delivery of all Hotels across India.
Philip holds Executive MBA from Sydney University of Technology, Australia and a Bachelor of Business and Hotel Management from Queensland. With over 20 years Managerial experience, Philip is currently leading Accor’s foray in the International budget hotel segment with their launch of Hotel Formule1 brand in 2012. Having been transferred to India in 2005, Philip has overseen several successful Accor brand launches including Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Lavasa International Convention Centre (LICC), NOVOTEL in Hyderabad and Bangalore, Grand Mercure in Bangalore, Mercure Hotels in Hyderabad and Pune, Lavasa and two Ibis hotels in Bangalore. In the years 2007, 2008 and 2009, HICC won the National Tourism Award for the International MICE Category under his stewardship.
Mr. Tandon is one of the veterans in the hospitality industry with over three decades of work experience. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering, he went on to complete a Directorate of Marine Engineering Training and then passed the Ministry of Transport test with first class. He worked on board naval ships until 1994 as Chief Engineer. Post this, he help pivotal positions in companies like Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited as Project Manager from 1994 to 1997, Hyatt Regency Delhi as Director of Engineering from 1997 to 2002, Asian Hotels Limited as Vice President Engineering and Projects from 2002 to 2007 and DLF Hotel Holdings Limited in the year 2008. Currently Mr. Tandon is the Chief operating Officer – Projects with Asian Hotels Limited. During his long span of career, he has undertaken multiple projects of renovation, development, energy conservation, business expansion and administration with the companies that he has worked with and helped grow.
Mr. Kumar successfully collaborated Continental with Europe’s second largest manufacturer of refrigerators, Desmon Spa to form Desmon Continental. This is the first of its kind and size venture in the food service industry of India. Continental is India’s largest manufacturer and supplier of commercial kitchen equipment that has successfully executed varied size of projects in many countries. Continental is also an approved and preferred supplier to McDonalds, KFC, Dominos, Haldiram’s and many other QSRs. Mr. Pawan Raj Kumar has almost 20 years of experience in establishing and successfully running large-scale operations. In fact, Pawan has lead Continental to receive the ‘Best Supplier Partner’ award from McDonalds and YUM while also a special award from the President of India.
Sidharth completed his Architectural Degree from the Sushant School of Art and Architecture New Delhi, India in 2001 and started working on the New Delhi Metro rail project for C P Kukreja and Maunsel. He moved to the UK and gained early experience in resort & spa design working on projects in Dubai, Jordan and Casablanca. On joining ReardonSmith, he lead the architectural team handling the multi-million pound rebuilding of Grosvenor House in London. His other projects include: designing of Porto Montenegro, the new marina destination on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro; Project Leader of the new Four Seasons hotel in Azerbaijan; Project Leader of the Hersham Golf Club & Hotel, Surrey, UK; and most recently Project Leader of a Ski Resort Grand Palace Hotel, Azerbaijan.
